The abbreviation SOT is a brand name registered by the company in 1997 and renewed in 2006 for a subsequent period of ten years.
Now SOT Signal and Security Technology EOOD (“SOT 161” is Bulgaria’s leading security company, with a work force of over 3,400, more than 29 000 objects with centralized security and more than 400 sites guarded by physical means.

The company operates in three main directions:

SOT EOOD (SOT 161) offers to its customers a complete set of security services for specific sites, physical security; personal and VIP security, escorting of couriers, guarding of public events. The company offers design, installation and maintenance of all technical security systems including alarm facilities, video monitoring, fire alarm and fighting, control of the access to and protection of information. SOT EOOD allows a direct import of equipment through its Sektron OOD firm, which represents some of the major manufacturers of security systems – JVC Professional, Kenwood Communication, PЕLCO - USA, INNA range, Paradox Security Systems Ltd., ADEMCO, etc.

The main advantage of the services provided by SOT EOOD (SOT 161) is that the company offers cutting-edge security means and employs specially designed infrastructural systems for communication and management. CENTRALIZED SECURITY
SOT Signal and Security Technology EOOD (SOT 161) is leader in centralization security in the country. In Sofia alone, the number of secured sites exceeds 26,000. The dominant position of the company stems first and foremost from the confidence of its customer and the impressive investments made in signal and security devices for guaranteeing the security of sites and minimizing the risk of intrusion.

During the last three years these investments were directed mainly at refitting the duty centre with the latest generation of computers, servers and systems for multichannel reception of signals from the sites, along with a renewal of the vehicle fleet for quick response with such models as BMW 318, BMW 118, Golf 5, and Daihatsu Terios SUVs.

The multifrequency system for signal reception from the sites, so far implemented only by SOT 161, practically rules out the possibility of blocking all radio channels leading signals to the duty centre. High-risk sites are serviced not only by radio but also by means of telephone lines, a GSM network, or the Internet.
Being a pioneer of the industry, SOT 161 enjoys the most extensive experience in the application of technical means for site security. Both the duty centre and the vehicle patrols are perfectly equipped, they have a good knowledge of the sites as well as the motivation for an uncompromising reaction to the alarm signals. In almost all attempted or actual cases of break in the perpetrators’ stay on the premises does not exceed one minute. PHYSICAL SECURITY
SOT EOOD (SOT 161) offers physical security in such cities as Sofia, Plovdiv, Burgas, Pleven, Varna,  Stara Zagora, Blagoevgrad, Rousse, Veliko Turnovo, Montana, etc. – that is a total of 63 localities. A work force of over 3,000 is engaged in the security of nearly 400 sites nationwide, most of which are provided with security and video control facilities.

The company specializes in the security of major commercial sites: chains such as Metro, Billa, Praktiker, Kaufland, Ramstore, Technomarket, as well as banks, embassies and official residences, where the possibilities offered by surveillance technology are combined with the accumulated know-how of our security personnel.

The physical security of industrial sites by means of video surveillance, access control and alarm and perimeter systems forms another field of specialization of SOT 161.  Examples are the Inbev breweries (Belgium) – Kamenitza, Astika, Plevensko Pivo, and Burgassko Pivo;. the Devnya and Dimitrovgrad cement works, the Evromangan mines, Cumerio Copper – Pirdop, Nestle, Mirolio Bulgaria – all of them loyal customers of the company.

SOT Signal and Security Technology EOOD (SOT 161) is the first recipient of an ISO 9001/2000 quality certificate in the industry. In line with the requirements of the standard, before signing a contract our specialists make a thorough security inspection of the site and submit their conclusions on its vulnerability and possible risks. On these grounds they prepare a security proposal according to the required customer’s security. The proposed concept usually comprises recommendations for mechanical reinforcement of the vulnerable zone and the use of surveillance and security devices if such are not installed.
The security personnel is armed (if the site needs armed guards), communication means (radio stations for communication between them and with the duty centre), panic buttons, auxiliary means (searchlights, handcuffs, truncheons, metal detectors etc. as allowed by law, uniforms according to the site, etc.
Personnel is recruited according to the criteria established by law with particular reference to an internal tests for determining the psychological and physical suitability and individual qualities. Before starting  work as security guards, all employees go through obligatory training at SOT EOOD according to the Private Security Operation Law. The curriculum comprises legal studies, training in martial arts and firing. An additional specialized course is applied if the specific nature of work at particular sites so necessitates.

SPECIALIZED SECURITY
SOT 161 has a fleet of specialized armoured vehicles at its disposal for cash operations and transport of valuable parcels in accordance with the established police standards and requirements. Our vehicles are equipped with radio stations and GPS units for route control. Their motion is tracked by the duty centre and is also connected with the police, which ensures a swift reaction. Our cash transport teams possess a considerable practical experience and training. They are armed and provided with all the necessary communication and protection facilities.

Our firm performs control and security tasks in the transport of valuable goods. It serves as regional centre for the multinational company Eurowatch, which monitors mobile sites on the whole of Europe.

SOT 161 offers personal and VIP security. It provides training for customer personnel by highly qualified instructors graduates of specialized courses at NSO and SOBT.
